Nsona Enterprises is a Malawian social enterprise committed to driving sustainable development through innovation in renewable energy, agriculture, and community empowerment. Founded with a mission to improve lives and protect the environment, we deliver practical, people centered solutions that create lasting impact across Malawi and beyond.

Renewable Energy

At the heart of our clean energy work is the solar boiler a powerful, aluminum-based device that captures and concentrates sunlight to heat pots and cook food, reaching temperatures of up to 160°C. It’s a smoke-free, fuel-free alternative that saves trees, reduces indoor pollution, and lowers household energy costs.
We also produce Eco-briquettes from agricultural waste like maize stalks and groundnut shells. Our briquettes burn longer and cleaner than charcoal, offering an affordable and sustainable solution for homes, schools, and businesses, while helping combat deforestation and air pollution.

Agriculture

Our agricultural initiatives focus on climate-smart farming practices that increase food security and boost rural incomes. We specialize in maize and groundnut farming, using improved seed varieties, soil regeneration methods, and farmer training to enhance productivity. By supporting smallholder farmers with access to markets and knowledge, we promote a more resilient and inclusive agricultural system.

Social Innovation

Beyond our core operations, Nsona Enterprises leads social business initiatives that nurture the next generation of African changemakers. We are the founders and hosts of the Social Innovators Forum Africa (SIFA) a flagship event that brings together youth leaders, entrepreneurs, embassies, and development partners to collaborate on solutions to Africa’s most pressing challenges.
Through SIFA, we amplify voices, build networks, and foster innovation in areas like climate action, education, and food systems, creating a vibrant ecosystem for social impact and entrepreneurship.
